Time was when Jamie Lynn Spears was content to tag along in the wake of her big sister Britney. But in the last few years the 15-year-old has come out from behind the pop princess' shadow to become a big name in her own right.
Onlookers at the premiere of children's movie Barnyard would have been forgiven for thinking they had spotted Britney's doppelganger when the younger Spears sibling turned up to work the red carpet.

Jamie's Tinseltown poise was evident as she posed for the cameras in a very grown-up dusky pink dress and big hoop earrings. The animated flick boasts voiceovers by Courteney Cox and Andie MacDowell, and has a cast of characters with names like Elvis the singing chicken and Etta the hen.

Since Jamie made her screen debut in the 2002 Britney vehicle Crossroads, her career has gone from strength to strength. Currently the star of her own Nickelodeon series Zoey 101, the young performer also has a film called Monster House out this summer.

Like her famous sibling the teen sensation has been singing and dancing since she was knee high to a grasshopper and Jamie's every bit as ambitious too. Source
