Teri Hatcher "Sex In A Van" Story

A judge granted the Desperate Housewives star's request to dismiss a lawsuit she filed against the author of a report claiming she used a camper parked outside her home for steamy sexual liaisons, court records show.

The offending story, written by Patricia Nolan, appeared in a pair of British tabloids and the National Enquirer last year. It alleged that the actress would leave her eight-year-old daughter, Madison, alone in her home while Hatcher snuck outside for "sex romps" with a steady rotation of men in a VW bus kept in her driveway for that purpose.

Hatcher successfully sued Britain's Daily Sport and the Sun over the offending story, winning undisclosed damages and a public apology from both publications.

She also accepted an apology from the National Enquirer, which stated it believed that Nolan's report "was fabricated and the story was false," and retracted the article.

"I will never allow any tabloid to so egregiously attack the area of my life which I give top priority, and that is my parenting," Hatcher said of her victory.

The actress had also sued Nolan for defamation, and a default judgment was entered against the reporter in February, according to court records.

A hearing had been scheduled for Tuesday in the matter involving Nolan's alleged failure to abide by the default judgment, but it was canceled after the case was dismissed at Hatcher's request.

The actress' attorney, John Lavely, did not respond to a request for comment on the matter.

Perhaps Hatcher is sick of rehashing the past and wants to concentrate on the future.

After the second season of Desperate Housewives was bashed by critics and snubbed at the Emmys, the pressure is on the ladies of Wisteria Lane to prove they've still got what it takes

Heather Locklear was spotted out and about Tuesday morning revealing a bit more than she intended in a sheer summer skirt. Heather, 44, and funnyman David Spade, 42, have reportedly been dating since April and met through their mutual manager.

David is reportedly waiting for Heather to finalize her divorce rocker Richie Sambora before asking for her hand in marriage: "I'm so in love, it's ridiculous. Never in my life did I think I'd be with someone so gorgeous and successful... She knows I'm going to ask. It's all about timing."

Christina Aguilera Says No To Rality TV

Christina Aguilera Says No To Rality TV

Christina Aguilera and her new husband JORDAN BRATMAN are constantly bombarded with requests to star in a new reality TV series, but insist they'll never open their home to cameras. The pop superstar reveals TV executives are often puzzled when she refuses to follow Jessica Simpson, Carmen Electra and even old pal Britney Spears' example and reveal all about her private life. She tells MTV News, "We've been approached, actually, and it has been a question for some people, but my marriage and my relationship with my husband is something that I really want to protect." Aguilera admits she feels sorry for the stars of the first wave of celebrity at home shows, who have now become media targets. She adds, "My heart goes out to that whole situation. It's a whole different ballgame, I feel, when you do open yourself up to that whole thing, and it must be difficult. "You're open to all the judgment in the world. At least now I can say, `Well, you don't know my situation and it's very private and special and sacred to me.'" Aguilera's decision seems wise - celebrity reality TV couples Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey, Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler and Carmen Electra and Dave Navarro have split and Britney Spears and Kevin Federline are often the source of split reports.
